Jeffrey McKenna, MD

Dr. Jeffrey McKenna is a board certified dermatologist, and fellowship trained Mohs micrographic surgeon, specializing in all aspects of skin care, with a focus on detecting and treating malignant and pre-malignant conditions. He has experience in treating thousands of complex skin cancers. His fellowship training also included cosmetic dermatology, laser medicine and additional skin surgeries.

Dr. McKenna received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Vermont, and his medical degree at the University of Vermont in May 1999. He completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Utah, and was chief resident in 2004. After residency he stayed on at the University of Utah and served as a clinical instructor in the department of dermatology. He then returned to the University of Vermont to complete a fellowship in procedural dermatology in 2006. During this time he received advanced training in Mohs micrographic surgery, skin surgery, cutaneous oncology, cosmetic dermatology and lasers. He was section chief of dermatology at OSF St. Francis Medical Center from 2008 until joining Dermatology & Mohs Surgery Institute in October 2017. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife and seven children, as well as soccer, skiing, hiking and tennis.
